SEOUL, June 12 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor is doubling down on its push into the high-performance electric vehicle market with the upcoming debut of the Ioniq 6 N, a sleek and powerful EV sedan poised to rival models like the Porsche Taycan.

On Thursday, the automaker released teaser images of the Ioniq 6 N, its second all-electric model under the performance-oriented “Hyundai N” brand. The vehicle, described by Hyundai as a “god-tier value” supercar (a blend of “god” and “cost-efficiency” in Korean slang), will make its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom this July.

The Ioniq 6 N features a wide body, aggressive stance, aerodynamic fenders, and a prominent rear wing spoiler—marking a visual leap from the standard Ioniq 6. It has been engineered with Hyundai N’s core performance philosophy in mind: precise cornering (“Corner Rascal”), racetrack capability, and everyday usability.

Built for dynamic handling and high-endurance driving, the Ioniq 6 N promises to deliver the kind of visceral driving experience typically reserved for elite sports cars.

“This model fully reflects the tastes of high-performance enthusiasts,” said Park Jun-woo, executive director of Hyundai’s N Management Division. “The Ioniq 6 N redefines the electric sports sedan by blending N’s cutting-edge technologies with day-to-day drivability.”

Hyundai previously made waves in 2023 with the launch of the Ioniq 5 N, its first high-performance EV. That model garnered international acclaim, winning the 2024 World Performance Car award, as well as Korea’s Car of the Year 2024 and China’s High-Performance Car of the Year 2025.

With the Ioniq 6 N, Hyundai aims to further cement its position as a serious player in the global high-performance EV segment—offering premium performance without the Porsche price tag.
