SEOUL, Sept. 18 (Korea Bizwire)Hyundai Motor Company revealed yesterday the launch of a campaign to help financially-challenged car owners by repairing vehicles that may be on their last legs.

According to the new campaign, people owning Hyundai vehicles can write to the car producer explaining why they were unable to better maintain their car, perhaps due to financial or work-related issues.

A “dream team” composed of 20 mechanics at Hyundai will share their expertise and craftsmanship in restoring both the internal structure and external bodywork of the vehicles.

Individuals who own a car that was released between January 1999 and December 2008 are eligible for the restoration service by applying online via Hyundai’s website (www.hyundai.com) and including an explanation of why their car was not fixed or replaced.

Hyundai will select two vehicles for the campaign and will help restore the cars over a period of four weeks. Rental cars will be provided to car owners while their vehicle is under repair.

An employee at Hyundai said that the campaign was designed to move customers. “We will do our best to repay our customers’ trust in various ways,” said the employee.
