SEOUL, July 16 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Co. on Wednesday launched an upgraded model of its ST1 electric van, enhancing convenience features and adding a new budget-friendly trim for the cargo model.
First launched last year, the ST1 is equipped with a 76.1 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery that offers a range of up to 317 kilometers per charge for the standard cargo model and 298 kilometers for the refrigerated version.
Based on customer feedback, Hyundai has added various options, including a sun visor mirror and a passenger-side assist handle, for the Smart trim of the new ST1. The automaker has also updated the optional convenience package to include ventilated and heated seats for the front passenger.
To lower the cost barrier, Hyundai introduced a new lower entry-level Style trim to the ST1 cargo lineup, which still retains popular features at a lower price for small business customers.
“We anticipate that the updated ST1 will offer improved productivity for customers based on the updated model’s value from customer feedback,” a Hyundai Motor official said.
