BUSAN, May 3 (Korea Bizwire)A startup company in Busan has developed a service that allows users to view a building after completion with ultra-high-resolution images that are close to reality.

The Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (BCCEI) reported on Thursday that AD, selected for the project to support innovative start-ups, has developed a service to provide design drawings using virtual reality (VR).

This service is a program that allows users to see what a building would look like after the completion of construction, before the interior design and other construction projects with ultra-high-resolution 3D VR images that are similar to reality.

If this service is commercialized, it is expected that it will be able to eliminate complaints from consumers that can occur after construction and reduce time and costs that might occur if construction work needs to be redone.

The BCCEI expected the service would help win bids for construction projects not only in Korea but also overseas, and create new employment.

CEO Kim Do-hyuk of AD reported that when he was working for a construction company, it was difficult to identify and reflect the exact demands of clients in interior design and building construction.

In order to address this issue, the company developed pre-construction planning and virtual reality services.

The BCCEI is also seeking follow-up investments in support of commercialization funds, including prototyping and marketing costs, and in conjunction with venture capital.
