“IT Aquarium” Installed in Korea’s Subway Station

SEOUL, Aug. 23 (Korea Bizwire) — Incheon Transportation Corporation announced on August 21 that it has installed the world’s first “IT Aquarium,” for which feeding, cleaning and water exchanging is done automatically, in Gyeyang Subway Station. 

The “IT Aquarium” has integrated high-tech and tradition, as it presents various exotic fish in an IT-controlled aquarium embedded on a wall decorated with Han-ji, traditional handmade paper from Korea. 

The subway station users can enjoy the liveliness and the exotic ambience that aquarium presents as they wait for their next train. 

The CEO of the corporation said, “IT aquarium is the source of satisfaction for our citizens as well as the persons who manage it. We will put our best effort to provide pleasing environment in our stations.”
