SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics has taken first place for the second time in a row in an Italian survey on customer satisfaction of home electronics conducted by ‘Corriere della Sera’, Italy’s best-selling daily newspaper.
Corriere della Sera conducted a survey on 20,000 consumers asking them how satisfied they were with the service of 388 companies in 70 categories, including shopping, finance and cars. The results showed that among companies in the home electronics segment, Samsung Electronics generated the highest levels of satisfaction, as 86.6 percent of the respondents were happy with the company’s service.
Samsung has concentrated on differentiating itself from local brands, and established a strategy to provide premium products ever since it entered the Italian market starting with the microwave oven in 1991.
By setting up a network between service centers, aptitudes could be shared, and the professionalism of the employees and service centers were enhanced through concentrated education related to technology.
In major cities such as Milan, Rome and Naples, the ‘D+1′ service, in which a door to door checkup of the appliance is completed within a day of a customer’s request, received many positive responses.
Samsung is currently No.1 in market share for refrigerators and drum washing machines in Italy. The company’s products also topped the evaluations of ‘Altroconsumo’, the most well-known local paper issued by a consumers union, in the ‘refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven’ sector.
Samsung is planning to expand its exhibition space, which will be furnished with its most luxurious home appliances. In the meantime, the company is entering alliances with famous sports clubs.
