Jeju Island Operates Free Shuttles for Foreign Tourists

JEJU, Aug. 22 (Korea Bizwire)The World Natural Heritage Department of Jeju Island stated on the August 21 that will operate a free shuttle bus service for foreign tourists.

The service is part of a commemorative event in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Jeju’s appearance on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The shuttles will be available every Friday and Saturday. Departing from Jeju’s provincial office, the tour will include Hallasan National Park, Geomun Oreum, Manjanggul and Seongsan Ilchulbong.

Foreign tourists will be able to participate in a “stamp tour”, and will be given booklets to collect stamps from each of their stops.

If they collect at least four stamps from four sites, they can show their booklet at the World Natural Heritage Center or at the tourist information desk on the 1st floor of Jeju International Airport and collect souvenirs.

Tourists who use the bus will not need to make a reservation to access Geomun Oreum. 

Jeju will operate the shuttle service until October 21. Two buses will each run the tour route four times a day.
