JEONJU, Nov. 20 (Korea Bizwire) — Trees lining the streets of Jeonju, North Jeolla Province have been given warm clothes to wear for the winter.
A total of 130 volunteers from the Jeonju Volunteer Center recently dressed up trees near Jeonju Hanok Village and Jeonju Station.
Warm clothes help trees to survive the winter and fend off pests. They are also helpful in decorating the city.
The center, which has been in charge of the event for the past three years, teamed up with volunteers to make 250 tree sweaters since April using scraps of old clothes or dolls.
