SEOUL, May 27 (Korea Bizwire) – Jin Air, a budget airline in Korea, will be the first carrier to introduce Kakao Pay as a mobile ticket payment method. With its decision, passengers purchasing Jin Air tickets through the Internet or on mobile apps will be able to pay using their Kakao Pay accounts, as well existing payment methods.
To promote Kakao Pay, the airline is offering specially discounted tickets that can only be purchased through Kakao Pay, as well as 10 percent cashback for those who use Kakao Pay with a Lotte Card. In addition, 1,000 Jin Air passengers bound to Jeju from June 1 to July 15 will receive a Kakao Friends mug.
