SEOUL, Aug. 10 (Korea Bizwire)The Jogye Order, South Korea’s biggest Buddhist sect, said Wednesday it has launched a program for participants of the World Scout Jamboree, who have been relocated to Seoul in anticipation of the arrival of Typhoon Khanun, providing them with an opportunity to engage with traditional temple culture.

The Jogye Order has organized a scheme wherein Scouts visiting 12 downtown Seoul temples will receive guidance to facilitate their respectful observance at any convenient time.

Furthermore, a range of specialized programs tailored to each temple’s unique offerings, including meditation and temple food preparation, are also available.

Out of the 12 temples, seven, including Jogyesa Temple and Bongeunsa Temple, are providing guidance in English.

Even following the conclusion of the Jamboree, the Jogye Order plans to sustain temple stay programs at several regional temples for German Scouts, spanning a specific duration.
