Junam Reservoir Becomes Home to Wide Range of Rapacious Birds

CHANGWON, Feb. 7 (Korea Bizwire)The Junam Reservoir, a migratory bird habitat 400 kilometers southeast of Seoul, has recently garnered attention following the discovery of a wide range of predatory birds.

Birds of prey like white-tailed sea eagles, goshawks, sparrow hawks and hen harriers that are designated natural monuments were observed at the reservoir, located in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.

A spotted eagle, one of the rarest species of rapacious birds, was also spotted in the reservoir.

Photographers from all over the country have flocked to the reservoir to take photos of upland buzzards and short-eared owls, which are rarely found in the southern parts of the country.
