SEOUL, Sept. 7 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul’s night sky lit up Sunday as 1,200 drones formed characters and landmarks from the hit animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters in the first of a new season of Hangang River light shows.
The event, staged at Ttukseom Hangang Park, drew large crowds and is part of the city’s broader “2025 Hangang River Drone Light Show” program, which will run five times through October. The spectacle has become one of Seoul’s signature nighttime attractions, drawing an average of 22,000 spectators per show earlier this year.
In the fall series, swarms of drones will recreate images of Cheongdam Bridge, Bukchon Hanok Village and other Seoul sites featured in K-Pop Demon Hunters, alongside characters from the film that has helped fuel the global K-content boom.
Before the main display, audiences were treated to cover dance and vocal performances, along with photo zones featuring costumes and face-painting.
The drone show will run a total of five times — beginning on September 7 and continuing on the 13th, 20th, 26th, and October 18 — each with a distinct theme.
Details of the program are available on the official website (www.seouldroneshow.com
