SEOUL, April 10 (Korea Bizwire) – The final round of an Italian K-pop competition was held at an exhibition center in Rome on Saturday.

As part of Romics, one of the country’s biggest comic fairs, fourteen group and individual talents who passed the preliminary rounds showed off their moves for the final time to K-pop hits by Hyuna, Taemin, Luna, BTS and Black Pink, in front of some 1,000 spectators.

First place went to Alessandro Colore, who sang Danger by Taemin. “I came across K-pop through my cousin by chance. Its biggest appeal is that you can enjoy both singing and dancing simultaneously,” he said.

“This event helped us realize the excitement and the interest in K-pop that exists (among fans in Italy),” said Lee Soo-myung, director of the ICC. “We’re planning a nationwide K-pop competition in October to celebrate the center’s one-year anniversary.”
