SEOUL, March 20 (Korea Bizwire) — American musician Kenny G will perform at Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang next month in celebration of the first anniversary of the venue.

The Kenny G live concert will take place on March 21, with the saxophonist accompanied by a band led by renowned bassist Nathan East, while the South Korean trio Sweet Sorrow will play as an opening act.

The event will celebrate the successful first year of the multi-purpose venue that focuses on automobile culture, and has hosted multiple events and exhibitions dedicated to automobile production and technology.

Since its establishment last April, over 260,000 people had visited Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang as of Sunday, garnering a monthly average of 23,000 visitors, Hyundai Motor said.

Given the fact that Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul took nearly 18 months to reach the same number of visitors, the reception has been better than some might have expected.

In addition to widely positive public reaction, the venue has also won a series of international design awards including the 2017 Red Dot Award and the 2018 iF Design Award, playing a significant role in promoting Hyundai Motor’s brand image.

Ticket sales for the Kenny G concert begin today on Interpark, and include an admission ticket to the permanent exhibition at Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang.
