SEOUL, Feb. 24 (Korea Bizwire)Kia Corp., South Korea’s second-biggest carmaker by sales, on Wednesday unveiled a new digital instrument that makes it easier for everyone to create music using sounds from nature.

‘move.ment’, produced in collaboration with synthesizer builder Arthur Joly, contains eight sounds of nature including the sound of water flowing at Cheonggye Stream in Seoul, the sound of wind in Sahara Desert and the sound of waves on a beach in Scotland.

Users can select the sound they want and create their own ‘composition’ using tools such as a mixer, filters and ADSR.

The newly-created sound can be played by a touchpad-type keyboard embedded in the program. It can be replayed and produced in various patterns.

The welcome sound for Kia’s all-electric EV6 sedan and six vehicle alarm sounds, including a safety alarm, were also made through ‘move.ment.’

The company plans to use the new digital instrument for the creation of various vehicle sounds and the promotion of brand campaign songs.
