LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — Kia has unveiled the redesigned 2027 Telluride, a fully reimagined second-generation model of its flagship SUV for the North American market, the company said Monday (local time).

First introduced in 2019 and produced at Kia’s Georgia plant, the Telluride has become one of the brand’s biggest U.S. success stories, with production volumes doubling over six years.

Kia described the new Telluride as a complete reinterpretation of the original, blending strength and sophistication while preserving the SUV’s signature design DNA. The new model is 2.3 inches longer, with a wheelbase extended by 3 inches and a height increase of 1 inch, offering improved access to the second and third rows.

Models equipped with a sunroof also gain up to 0.5 inches of additional headroom for greater comfort.

The exterior palette expands to 10 color options, including new finishes such as Black Jade Green and Terrain Brown, available in both glossy and matte versions.

Tom Kearns, chief designer at Kia’s U.S. design center, said the new Telluride demanded “a restrained and tailored approach to achieve a balance between toughness, luxury, tradition, and modernity.”

The 2027 Telluride will make its full public debut later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show, where Kia is expected to reveal detailed performance updates. Sales across North America are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of next year.
