SEOUL, July 21 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Transys Inc., an auto parts unit of Hyundai Motor Group, said Thursday that its low-power and lightweight technologies, along with interior space utilization technology, into Kia Corp.’s all-electric EV9 flagship SUV.
These advancements were developed to enhance the power consumption efficiency of electric vehicles.
One of the innovative features is dynamic body care, a system that provides a massaging effect inside the vehicle by combining vibrational and percussive techniques.
Unlike existing pneumatic and vibrational systems, dynamic body care delivers a direct stimulus to the body, allowing users to adjust the massage intensity with five levels of percussion and three levels of vibration using a dedicated display.
A notable improvement comes from the utilization of a new low-power carbon heating wire that employs metal-coated carbon fiber.
This wire offers more than twice the durability of conventional metallic heating wires and reduces power consumption by over 15 percent.
Moreover, the SUV comes equipped with tilting-type walk-in technology, addressing the inconvenience of accessing the third-row seats when second-row seats can only move back and forth.
By applying a tilting mechanism that moves the seats forward, the amount of space available to access the third row has doubled.
