SEOUL, Dec. 9 (Korea Bizwire) — Kia Corp.’s PV5 Cargo model has received the highest safety rating of five stars from the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP), according to the automaker Tuesday.
The PV5 earned praise across all major assessment categories for commercial vans in 2025, including driving safety, crash avoidance and post-crash protection, the company said in a release.
With the latest recognition, Kia has now secured the top Euro NCAP rating for all of its electric models tested since the EV6 in 2022.
In particular, Euro NCAP highlighted the excellence of the vehicle’s advanced driver assistance system, noting the effectiveness of its driver-monitoring technology, seatbelt reminder function and intelligent speed limit assistance.
It also praised the PV5′s forward collision avoidance system, saying its warning and emergency braking capabilities work together to accurately detect vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists to help prevent accidents.
