SEOUL, June 15 (Korea Bizwire) – The Soul EV, an electric vehicle from Kia Motors, was named as the Alternative Energy City Car of the year by French journalists. According to the second largest carmaker in Korea, the Soul EV won the prize at the Prix Auto Environnement MAAF awards. Established in 2005, the prize winners are selected by a jury of environmental and automotive journalists assessing cars based on their technology related to sustainable mobility.
The Soul EV shows off best-in-class performance, running 212km on a single charge, with splendid design and excellent use of space. The electric car has received a number of top global honors including Car of the Year from Dagbladet, Autofil and Dinside in Norway and the 2015 Canadian Green Car Award from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada.
The Kia Soul EV has also won international plaudits for its looks. The car picked up a Red Dot for outstanding product design in the 2015 Red Dot Awards – one of the most highly respected international design competitions.
