SEOUL, May 15 (Korea Bizwire) – Korean Air has been honored for its first class in-flight dining by a prestigious travel publication, highlighting the airline’s dedication to elevating the culinary experience at 35,000 feet.
The carrier was named the recipient of the Best First Class Catering award at the 2024 Leisure and Lifestyle Travel Awards presented by Global Traveler, a leading American travel magazine with over 500,000 readers.
It marks the second consecutive year Korean Air has taken top honors in the onboard dining category from Global Traveler, whose rankings are based on a survey of its online and print subscribers.
For first class passengers, Korean Air offers a diverse array of upscale options like bibimbap, a classic Korean rice dish; spicy braised beef short ribs; grilled Chilean sea bass; and premium steak entrees.
But the airline isn’t resting on those laurels. It continues innovating to cater to discerning palates, developing new vegan Korean menus and collaborating with award-winning sommeliers to introduce over 50 new wine selections.
“We will continue our efforts to develop diverse in-flight meals and pursue new flavors for our customers,” Korean Air said in a statement.
The in-flight dining acclaim follows Korean Air’s No. 5 global ranking this year from Global Traveler for Best In-Flight Entertainment, underscoring the carrier’s comprehensive approach to delivering a premium travel experience.
