SEOUL, June 15 (Korea Bizwire)Korean Air Lines Co., South Korea’s national flag carrier, said Tuesday it has opened up a new agency at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute in Daejeon to develop a next-generation stealth unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

The new agency comes as a part of the company’s strategy to further develop Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) UAVs and gain higher ground in the next-generation market for stealth UAVs.

Korean Air plans to join the project led by the Agency for Defense Development to develop technology and prototypes of LPI UAVs.
