SEOUL, Feb. 9 (Korea Bizwire)Passengers on Korean Air Lines Co. flights will now be able to board airplanes by scanning their palms, instead of producing a boarding pass.

The South Korea’s national flag carrier said Tuesday that it will introduce the country’s first ‘Bio Self-boarding Service’ for domestic flights, in which passengers can board airplanes by vein scanning the palm of their hands.

Passengers can simply place their hands on a scanner set up by the boarding gate that will match their vein patterns, instead of having to produce paper or mobile tickets.

Anyone who pre-registers their vein patterns at the Bio Scan Self-Registry located in the domestic flight hall at Gimpo Airport will be eligible for the self-boarding service.
