SEOUL, Nov.1 (Korea Bizwire) – Market research company Wiseapp publicly disclosed the results of a nationwide survey of 23,000 Android OS-based smartphone users on October 31, which revealed YouTube has overtaken messaging app Kakao Talk as the most used service.
The results of the same survey that was conducted last year had Kakao Talk in the lead with 10.5 percent of all users’ smartphone usage time. This year, YouTube nudged ahead with 11.5 percent to second place Kakao Talk’s 11.3 percent.
Coming in third was South Korean search engine Naver.
Facebook (3.1 percent), Google Chrome (2.6 percent) and the game Lineage M (1 percent) were other frequently mentioned responses.
