SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Korea Bizwire)A street in Jerusalem, Israel is home to a small restaurant where visitors can eat as much instant noodles, or “ramyeon” in Korean, as they want for free.

Bethel Ramyeon was first opened by the Korea-Israel Club during the pandemic and has been in operation for over a year.

The store opens every Tuesday from 1 to 7 p.m., offering free ramyeon to everyone.

Some 50 Israeli locals visit the store each day to try out Korean noodles as they share their experiences of Korean culture.

The noodle packages are bought at a local store. Each package costs 5,000 won (US$3.52), which is quite expensive, but still more affordable than importing them from South Korea.

The store has kosher dishes available in respect to local culture.

Visitors can choose the ramyeon of their choice, which will then be prepared by volunteers. Kimchi and rice are also served.

What started off as a store with no more than three or four daily visitors is now visited by some 200 people on the Jewish New Year or other special occasions thanks to promotions on social media.
