SEOUL, July 15 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s major game developers are ramping up efforts to expand their global reach, unveiling their latest titles at Gamescom 2025, one of the world’s largest video game trade fairs, set to take place in Cologne, Germany, from August 20 to 24.
According to industry sources on Tuesday, Krafton, Pearl Abyss, and other Korean gaming firms will operate hands-on booths at the business-to-consumer (B2C) section of the event, presenting upcoming releases slated for the latter half of the year.
Pearl Abyss will showcase its highly anticipated open-world action adventure title Crimson Desert, scheduled for release later this year. The game, which drew global attention when first revealed at last year’s Gamescom, will again be on display, running on AMD gaming PCs and Samsung’s Odyssey G6 and G8 monitors.
Krafton, making its third appearance at the fair, will debut gameplay for PUBG: Blind Spot, a new top-down tactical shooter featuring 5-on-5 team-based combat.
The company will also highlight its life simulation game inZOI—which sold one million copies within a week of release—and unveil its first downloadable content (DLC) and Apple Mac version. In addition, PUBG: Battlegrounds will be part of the lineup.

Ocean Drive Studio, a Kakao Games subsidiary, will present God Save Birmingham, a survival sim set in a zombie-infested 14th-century English town. The game, previously previewed at last year’s Gamescom, will receive broader exposure this year.
Supporting the country’s industry presence, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) will operate a “Korean Pavilion” to promote both B2B and B2C interactions. Among participating studios, Onewayticket Studio, a subsidiary of Mad Engine, will showcase Midnight Walkers, a new extraction-style title.
NCSoft’s North American branch, NC America, will also attend the event in a B2B capacity to share its 2025–2026 global release roadmap with investors and industry partners.
With South Korean firms increasingly betting on immersive storytelling and international appeal, Gamescom 2025 marks a key step in asserting the country’s creative influence on the global gaming stage.
