GAPYEONG, South Korea, Aug 23 (Korea Bizwire) – The CheongShim International Medical Center, Korea’s first international medical center and an internationally renowned hospital for both domestic and foreign patients, is drawing interest for its special medical vacation program for Japanese patients.
Designated as an international hospital in 2006, CSMC offers a unique internationalized medical vacation service, and is visited by more than 35,000 patients from 41 countries all over the world a year.
A total of 62 patients and family members from Japan participated in the ten-day ‘Healing Camp Program for Japanese Patients’ program from August 12 to 21. This program has been run by CSMC since 2010, and offers specialized medical service which aims for the health of both body and soul. More than 700 patients and their family members have thus far taken part in the program, which has received positive responses with more than 30percent of participants returning.
The Healing Camp program offers treatment for Japanese patients battling various chronic diseases such as cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and numerous mental illnesses. Located in the clean and quiet countryside in the northeastern outskirt of Seoul, CSMC provides patients with treatment based on both Western and Oriental medicine, as well as various other non-conventional programs such as yoga, laughter therapy, and group counseling sessions.
