Korean Racehorse Designated as Honorary Postmaster in U.S.

SEOUL, June 3 (Korea Bizwire)Knicks Go, a racehorse a racehorse of the Korea Racing Authority, was designated as an honorary postmaster in the U.S.

The U.S. Postal Service opens a temporary station at Pimlico Race Course in Maryland each year when the Preakness Stakes derby takes place and endows the title of honorary postmaster to the most influential person or horse in the horseracing world.

The Preakness Stakes is one of the three major horseraces in the U.S. along with the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes.

Knicks Go was designated as postmaster for the third time at the Preakness Stakes, held for the 147th time this year.

The temporary postal station will issue exclusive stamps and postmarks commemorating the Preakness race.

Knicks Go has retired and entered stud in February.
