SEOUL, Korea, Oct 31 (Korea Bizwire) – The Korea Statistical Office said on October 30 it would hold a three-day academic camp “Love Sharing Classroom for Numbers” for 35 children from 12 elementary schools near Daejeon and surrounding area in the youth camp in Mt. Bohyeon. The camp was organized as part of the government agency’s social contribution program to nurture problem-solving skills and thinking abilities for children from low-income families.

The three-day program from October 30 to November 2 will have sessions for designing group flags, drawing posters emphasizing the importance of statistics, and field trips to local art gallery and planetarium.

The office has run the academic camp for three years since 2011. This year, it held similar camps in two locations in February and May for kids from Daegu and nearby regions and the Seoul metropolitan area, respectively.
