SEOUL, Korea, August 09 (Korea Bizwire) – The Seoul Community Rehabilitation Center announced that it will hold a training session for ‘Water Dance,’ a type of underwater exercise for the first time in Korea at the center. The center, established in 1997, is Korea’s first specialized institution for underwater rehabilitation and offers various services and programs for the handicapped.

Developed in 1987 in Switzerland, ‘Water Dance’ has spread all over the world, and is used globally by underwater trainers for muscle relaxation. Patients enter the pool and relax their body and muscles underwater in a weightless environment, which can also help alleviate psychological stress.

For this training session, a Canadian trainer from the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association (WABA) has been invited. With 20 years of experience, she has worked as a Water Dance instructor since 1993 and has strived to spread underwater exercises.

The Water Dance training session will be held for four days from August 31 to September 1 and two days from September 14 to 15 at the assembly hall at the Seoul Community Rehabilitation Center and the Seoul Underwater Rehabilitation Center. The sessions will consist of theoretical and practical applications of Water Dance and will be offered to instructors that hold WATSU 1 (Water Massage)  certificates. Applicants can apply on the Seoul Community Rehabilitation Center website (www.seoulrehab.or.kr) until August 24, and participation will be offered to the first 30 applicants.
