SEOUL, Jan. 18 (Korea Bizwire) — According to a local Korean media outlet in Atlanta on Wednesday, the Korean version of ‘Cinderella’ will be staged at the Opelika Performing Arts Center on Friday (local time) and Montgomery Performing Arts Centre on January 26.
It is the first time for a Korean musical to be performed in Alabama.
The musical was organized by the Alabama Korea Education and Economic Partnership (A-KEEP) to introduce Korean culture to state residents.
A-KEEP has promoted educational and economic exchanges between Korea and Alabama.
This project is sponsored by the city government of Opelika, the Art Committee of Alabama, and the University of Troy.
While the musical is being performed in Korean, there will be English subtitles. Furthermore, the musical will be familiar to Americans as the story is similar to ‘Cinderella’.
