SEOUL, Oct. 14 (Korea Bizwire) – Chief executive officers (CEOs) of KT Corp. and U.S. software platform firm Palantir Technologies Inc. met Tuesday to discuss ways to expand the companies’ artificial intelligence (AI) platforms across industries, the Korean telecom company said.

During a meeting in Seoul, KT CEO Kim Young-shub and Palantir CEO Alex Karp shared updates on their partnership, signed in March, and explored ways to extend its outcomes to South Korean industries, according to KT.

The meeting followed the two companies’ partnership agreement aimed at accelerating KT’s AI transformation (AX) business in the United States and seeking joint business opportunities in the Korean market.

Under the agreement, KT has built a cloud-based work environment and adopted Palantir’s AI platforms, including Foundry and AIP, which analyze corporate data using AI to support efficient decision-making.

KT said it plans to offer these platforms to sectors such as finance and public services in Korea.

“The collaboration between KT and Palantir will serve as a successful case of AX innovation across major industries in Korea,” Kim said. “We will support the spread of effective AI and data-driven decision-making across diverse sectors.”
