SEOUL, Aug. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s fried chicken franchise Kyochon F&B said Tuesday that it had introduced ‘assistant robots’ at its restaurants.
The new robots are capable of interacting with people during operation, and were developed jointly with Doosan Robotics Inc.
An assistant robot set up at a Kyochon Chicken store in Incheon’s Yeonsu District has now taken charge of frying chicken for the second time. They can be viewed from a show window working alongside the staff.
“The robots will soon take charge of the whole cooking process including frying two times as well as putting on sauces,” Kyochon F&B said.
