Labor Ministry, Hyundai Partner to Develop Repair Expertise for Eco-friendly Vehicles

SEOUL, March 16 (Korea Bizwire)The Ministry of Employment and Labor on Wednesday signed a business agreement with Hyundai Motor Co. and its affiliated car repair service provider Bluehands to systematically train repair and maintenance workers for eco-friendly vehicles.

The signatories will promote cooperation in various areas, including a survey on demand for eco-friendly vehicle repair and maintenance workers by region, implementation of training, and the employment of the graduates of the training program.

This year’s target for the number of trainees was set at 2,000.

Hyundai will be in charge of assessing the demand for eco-friendly repair and maintenance workers and participation in related training programs by region, developing a curriculum for the training program, and educating training instructors.

The ministry will be responsible for operating the training program, financing the cost of training, and supporting the employment and maintenance of jobs for the graduates of the training program.

Bluehands will hire the graduates with exemplary records as its technicians in the future.
