SEOUL, Dec. 27 (Korea Bizwire) – A South Korean law firm said Wednesday it is preparing to file a lawsuit against U.S. Apple Inc. after the tech giant admitted to slowing down older iPhone models.
Hanuri Law said it plans to file a lawsuit against Apple’s U.S. headquarters as well as its South Korean arm regarding the case, saying it will start gathering participants through its website on Thursday.
The law firm said Apple did not notify users of such crucial information, saying the action is a clear violation of laws.
Earlier this month, Apple acknowledged that it slowed down the speed of older iPhone models, claiming that the measure was necessary to prevent devices from shutting down suddenly.
Users around the globe have been taking steps to file lawsuits against Apple on the case, including those located in the United States and Israel.
