LG Chem Opens Customer Solution Center in Ohio, Bolstering North American Presence

SEOUL, Aug. 30 (Korea Bizwire) – LG Chem has unveiled its new Customer Solution Center in Ravenna, Ohio, marking a significant expansion of its North American operations.

The company announced on August 29 that the facility is now fully operational and ready to provide comprehensive technical support to its clients and partners in the region. 

The Customer Solution Center, a specialized customer support organization, aims to offer integrated technical solutions for product development, quality improvement, and productivity enhancement to LG Chem’s customers and collaborators. 

Constructed with an investment of approximately 70 billion won, the three-story facility boasts a total floor area of about 8,300 square meters.

It is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery for extrusion and injection molding, mirroring the production capabilities of LG Chem’s customers.

This new center is expected to create synergies with LG Chem’s North American ABS compound plant, which began full-scale operations in Ohio this May. ABS, a high-performance plastic, is widely used in automotive parts and construction materials.

The North American market has seen an increasing demand for high-value ABS products, driven by growth in the automotive and construction industries. 

The choice of Ohio for these facilities is strategic, leveraging the state’s excellent logistics and transportation infrastructure, as well as its proximity to LG Chem’s key ABS customers in North America. 

With the inauguration of the Ohio center, LG Chem has completed its global customer support network, spanning South Korea (Osan), China (East China and South China), Europe (Germany), and now the United States (Ohio). 

At the opening ceremony, LG Chem CEO Shin Hak Cheol emphasized the company’s customer-centric approach, stating, “The customer is at the heart of all our business activities. We are committed to delivering innovations that can transform our customers’ lives, regardless of the challenges we may face.”
