SEOUL, June 24 (Korea Bizwire) — With the expansion of metaverses, three-dimensional virtual worlds, the landscape is changing for new company recruits in training programs.
LG Chem Ltd., South Korea’s leading chemical firm, used an online virtual platform to carry out training programs for new recruits in its petrochemical division for four days starting on Monday.
The department designed a ‘soft-landing’ training program for new recruits from the MZ generation to overcome limits of contactless education and maximize participation.
The virtual education center consists of a main hall, classrooms, lounges, and cafeterias to closely imitate real education, communication environments, in which new recruits went about to learn various tasks and tips on successful life at the company.
Conference rooms, made separately for each group, allow participants to use characters and video chats to complete group assignments. In consultation rooms, recruits can meet with senior employees to ask questions.
