SEOUL, Sep. 3 (Korea Bizwire)LG buckles down to targeting the Chinese market. Koo Bon-moo, chairman of LG Group, attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony of LG Display China, a plant to manufacture 8.5-generation ultra-HD and full-HD panels in Guangzhou in Guangdong Province. He stressed the importance of local sales in China.

LG Display partnered with the Guangzhou Economic & Technological Development District and Skyworth, one of the biggest television manufacturers in China to invest a total of $4 billion in establishing the plant at the investment ratio of 7:2:1.

As of now, the plant manufactures 60,000 sheets of LCD panel a month. The output volume is scheduled to be increased to 120,000 sheets a month by the end of 2016.
