SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics Inc. said Thursday it is distributing common-use braille stickers to customers for free as a way to enhance home appliance accessibility.
Starting last year, the company has developed and distributed dedicated braille stickers for about 20 products for free. This time, it developed a common braille sticker that can be attached to all of its products.
The common braille sticker is composed of braille and guidelines, including ten different kinds of icons such as power, motion, stop, up, and down arrows.
After recognizing engraved icons or braille with fingertips and touch based on guidelines, users can operate the function they want.
LG said that with intuitive icons, the braille sticker can be used by all individuals suffering from vision problems.
