SEOUL, Jan. 28 (Korea Bizwire) —  LG Electronics is intensifying its internal artificial intelligence (AI) training programs to equip employees with skills to integrate generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, into their daily work processes. This initiative reflects the growing use of AI across both development and non-development teams.

According to industry sources, LG recently launched online courses tailored for employees at different skill levels, offering beginner and intermediate tracks.

The beginner course, “Introduction to Generative AI,” covers foundational concepts, practical applications, and tips to optimize interactions with AI tools. It also educates participants on avoiding AI-related inaccuracies, such as hallucination—when AI generates false information presented as fact. The program has seen strong interest, with 1,000 employees enrolling within two days of its launch.

The intermediate course focuses on practical applications, such as using ChatGPT for data summarization, Excel formula guidance, and selecting the right chart types for various datasets. Additionally, employees learn about the top 10 GPT-based tools for workplace tasks, including meeting summary generators, document translation, and more.

To further support the initiative, LG plans to introduce in-person AI training programs starting next month. The company also organizes webinars with global AI experts, like MIT professors Han Song and Antonio Torralba, who discuss cutting-edge trends such as generative AI in edge devices and multimodal AI agents.

LG’s commitment to AI education extends to senior leadership. Last year, the company conducted four specialized AI and software training sessions for over 200 executives, covering real-world applications of AI in products like IoT devices, autonomous vehicles, and AI-integrated appliances.

Through these comprehensive training efforts, LG aims to enhance individual productivity, optimize business processes, and drive innovation across its operations.
