SEOUL, April 21, (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics marked Earth Day 2025 with the launch of MyCup, a compact tumbler washer designed for commercial use, as part of the company’s broader push into business-to-business (B2B) subscription services and sustainable innovation.
Unveiled on April 21, MyCup integrates LG’s advanced dishwashing technologies — including those from its DIOS line — into a device optimized for cleaning reusable tumblers. The machine features a slim 23cm-wide build, making it easy to install in tight spaces, and offers three tailored cleaning modes: a 30-second quick rinse, a 4-minute standard cycle, and a 9-minute 50-second drying course.
At the core of MyCup is a 360-degree rotating spray arm and 65-degree Celsius high-pressure water jets that simultaneously clean both the interior and exterior of tumblers, including their lids. The German testing agency TÜV Rheinland certified that the device eliminates 99.999% of harmful bacteria, including E. coli, Listeria, and Salmonella, after a standard wash.
Sustainability is also a key feature. The device includes a 12-inch touchscreen and incorporates recycled plastic materials in the cabinet and lid. A dedicated app allows businesses to monitor usage data, detergent consumption, and device location, while customers can find nearby MyCup-equipped stores and check availability.
The product is available through a subscription model priced at 91,900 won (approximately $68) per month over a three-year contract. Subscribers receive regular professional maintenance every three months, including internal cleaning, filter replacement, and external damage inspection by LG’s care specialists.
“Our goal is to promote reusable tumbler culture and expand LG’s footprint in the growing B2B subscription market,” said Lee Hyang-eun, head of Customer Experience at LG’s Home Solutions division.
LG Electronics also announced a major partnership with Starbucks Korea to install MyCup units in all of the coffee chain’s 2,000-plus stores nationwide by the end of 2025 — signaling the product’s commercial viability and LG’s commitment to merging sustainability with enterprise solutions.
