SEOUL, Dec. 2 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics has been selected as “Best TV Brand” at the Euroconsumer Awards 2025, reinforcing its dominance in one of the world’s most competitive premium television markets, the company said Monday.

The annual awards are jointly organized by consumer media outlets in Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Brazil—members of the International Consumer Research & Testing (ICRT) network, which includes Consumer Reports in the United States and Which? in the United Kingdom.

Now in its seventh year, the program introduced category-specific honors for the first time, with LG becoming the inaugural winner in the TV segment.

LG earned top marks across expert testing, consumer satisfaction and brand trust, a performance industry observers attribute largely to the success of its OLED televisions.

First commercialized in 2013, LG’s OLED TVs surpassed 10 million cumulative units sold in Europe this year, doubling from 5 million in 2021 after a period of accelerated growth.

The sets have built a strong following among European consumers for their rich contrast, highly accurate color reproduction, fast response rates and high refresh speeds—features that enhance viewing of high-definition and gaming content.

Their ultra-thin designs, enabled by the absence of a backlight, have also helped elevate LG’s brand perception in the region.

LG’s OLED TVs continue to dominate in North America as well. According to Consumer Reports, LG models received the highest scores in every size category in which OLED products are sold, from 39 inches to more than 70 inches.

“The results reaffirm LG’s leadership in Europe, one of the world’s most important premium TV markets,” said Lee Cheon-gook, LG’s head of European operations. “We will continue delivering the best viewing experience to customers worldwide, led by our OLED lineup.”
