SEOUL, April 3 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics Inc. said Thursday it has partnered with Kia Corp. to integrate its artificial intelligence (AI) mobility space solutions into Kia’s automotive technology.
The collaboration aims to enhance customer-tailored mobility by incorporating AI-driven solutions and home appliances into Kia’s purpose-built vehicles (PBVs), according to LG Electronics.
As the first step in their partnership, LG Electronics and Kia will showcase their co-developed concept cars, Spielraum Studio and Spielraum Glow cabin, at the Seoul Mobility Show 2025, which begins Friday.
Spielraum, German for “play space” or leeway, is a project that integrates Kia’s PBV PV5 concept with LG Electronics’ customized home appliances.
It offers a personalized in-cabin experience, allowing users to tailor their vehicle’s interior with electronic devices and furniture that suit their lifestyles.
LG Electronics said the two companies are working together to bring the concept models to market in the second half of 2026.
Starting with this latest business agreement, they will collaborate to develop advanced home appliances and AI-powered solutions that can seamlessly integrate into vehicles, enhancing convenience and efficiency for users on the move.
