SEOUL, July 16 (Korea Bizwire) – In order to help consumers stay healthy during the humid Monsoon season, LG Electronics has suggested simple tips to keep homes dry. The main reason for bad odor inside homes is in many cases because of high humidity.
Although one can use the air-conditioner or dehumidifier to remove humidity, using baking soda or bed cleaner is another effective way to do it.
For example, if you can’t hang bed sheets out to dry on a damp weather, consider sprinkling baking soda generously on the bed. Vacuuming the sprinkled baking soda can remove humidity as well as dust mites and mold on the bed. LG’s “Bedding King” vacuum cleaner is ideal for this purpose as it eliminates harmful germs by beating the bed 8,000 times a minute with its “dual-punch” motor.
To get through the hot, humid summer, the microwave oven can be a useful ally. For example, you can remove moist of wet towels and dishcloth by zapping them with the microwave oven, thereby preventing the towels from becoming a breeding ground for germs and mold.
Silica gel, the desiccant found most frequently in the form of a small paper packet, can be recycled by drying it with the microwave oven with the paper packet open for about 30 seconds. You can do the same with charcoal by drying it with the microwave oven after washing it clean. For this, LG’s new convection oven model (MW233SK) will do the perfect job.
