LG Electronics Teams Up with Culture Heavyweights to Promote LG Signature Brand

SEOUL, Dec. 4 (Korea Bizwire)LG Electronics Inc., a major home appliance maker in South Korea, said Thursday it will promote its premium home electronics brand LG Signature in collaboration with a group of foreign museums, ballets and opera theaters.

Under terms of the agreement the company signed in October with the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow, the company will display the LG Signature OLED 8K TV at the museum until next year.

In collaboration with Russia’s famous online streaming company ivi.ru, LG will launch a service that allows people to take a look at the artworks in the museum through the LG Signature OLED 8K without visiting the museum for themselves.

In addition, LG has sponsored the renowned American Ballet Theatre (ABT)’s gala event for the past two years.

In particular, the company recently started providing video content to allow owners of LG Signature OLED TVs to fully enjoy the highlights of the ABT’s “The Nutcracker” performance.

LG also inked a three-year sponsorship contract with La Scala, an opera house in Milan, Italy last year to provide special video of the opera Rigoletto through the LG Signature website.
