SEOUL, Oct. 5 (Korea Bizwire) – LG Electronics Inc. said Tuesday it will exhibit an artwork made by recycling an OLED TV packaging box at the Nike Art Gallery in Lagos, Nigeria by the end of this year.
The artwork was created in collaboration with the African climate change response NGO Solution 17 and a group of young Nigerian artists.
The artists created the artwork under the theme of giving new value to waste materials and turning them into an asset.
Numerous OLED TV packaging boxes were used as a canvas for painting, collage tools and decoration materials.
As a way to improve resource usage efficiency, LG started using recyclable packaging materials for all of its TV products, including OLED models, without using color ink for packaging boxes, starting this year.
