SEOUL, March 23 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics is strengthening its outreach to future customers and talent by partnering with top U.S. universities, the company announced Sunday.

LG Electronics’ North America office hosted its annual “LG College Day” on March 21 at its regional headquarters, welcoming around 50 Princeton University students studying Korean language.

Now in its third year, LG College Day invites students from nearby universities majoring in Korean studies to learn about the company’s business operations, cutting-edge technologies, and corporate culture.

During the event, students toured LG’s showroom, where they experienced innovative products such as the wireless, transparent LG Signature OLED T and the portable wireless screen LG StanbyME.

The company also showcased its Life’s Good brand philosophy and highlighted ongoing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives focused on sustainability and social responsibility.

The first half of this year’s LG College Day will also include participation from students at other prestigious universities, including Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, Brown University, New York University, and Wesleyan University.

LG Electronics noted that the program aims to turn growing student interest in K-culture into a deeper connection with the LG brand. The initiative also serves as a platform for expanding future customer engagement and recruiting top talent.

In addition to educational outreach, LG’s U.S. subsidiary has been actively engaged in community efforts. The company has launched an endangered species protection campaign in New York’s Times Square and established a pollinator garden at its headquarters, earning wildlife habitat certification from the National Wildlife Federation (NWF).

LG has also carried out clothing recycling campaigns and donated home appliances to low-income households as part of its broader social contribution activities.
