SEOUL, Nov. 19 (Korea Bizwire) – LG Electronics Inc. said Wednesday it has opened a showroom for its new luxury brand SKS in Chicago as part of efforts to expand its presence in the high-end built-in appliance market in the United States.
Designed by Italian architect Piero Lissoni, the showroom is located at Merchandise Mart, also known as The Mart, a landmark commercial building in downtown Chicago, Illinois, according to LG Electronics.
The space features five kitchen displays equipped with SKS home appliances, including refrigerators, ovens and cooktops, alongside furniture created in collaboration with Italian design brands, such as Arclinea and Living Divani.
The Chicago showroom is LG Electronics’ third in the U.S., following locations in Napa Valley and New Jersey.
SKS, rebranded from Signature Kitchen Suite in February, is LG Electronics’ new premium built-in appliance brand designed to strengthen the company’s foothold in the growing high-end market.
