SEOUL, Oct. 15 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics’ laptop brand Gram has been named the best notebook of the year by Consumer Reports, beating out models from Apple and Samsung in a comprehensive evaluation of 154 devices sold in the U.S. market.
According to rankings released Wednesday, the LG Gram Pro 2-in-1 — marketed in Korea as the Gram Pro 360 — earned a total score of 82, the highest among all tested models. Apple’s MacBook Pro ranked second, followed by LG’s Gram 17 in third place, while Samsung’s Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 and Galaxy Book 5 Pro tied for fourth.
Consumer Reports conducts annual assessments of laptop performance, display quality, ergonomics, usability, and battery life. LG’s Gram models topped both the 17–18-inch and 15–16-inch size categories, while Apple’s MacBook series led in the smaller 12–14-inch ranges.
The recognition adds to LG’s growing reputation in the U.S. premium laptop market. Earlier this year, PCMag named LG Electronics the most reliable laptop brand for 2025, giving it a score of 9.6 out of 10, ahead of Apple (9.3) and MSI (9.1). The publication praised LG notebooks for their “powerful performance, lightweight design, and long battery life.”
The strong U.S. reception highlights LG’s continued push into high-end computing, as it positions the Gram line as a global benchmark for portability and performance.
