SEOUL, April 5 (Korea Bizwire)A handful of South Korean manufacturers are seeing their sales rise through Naver Corp.’s shopping platform after splitting with e-commerce giant Coupang Inc. due to feuds over prices.

Cosmetics and household goods maker LG Household & Health Care Ltd. announced that the average sales of its premium detergent brand FiJi through its Naver Brand Store marked a growth of 51 percent compared to a month ago.

The company attributed the hike in sales to the release of new products with upgraded functions and rapid delivery using Naver’s Arrival Guarantee service.

LG H&H has been mired in a series of disputes with Coupang over sales of daily necessities and Coca-Cola.

The company stopped selling its products through Coupang after filing complaints against the latter with the Fair Trade Commission for violation of the Large-scale Retail Business Act and the Fair Trade Act in 2019.

Arrival Guarantee service, designed to make sure items are delivered on time by a promised date, is competing with Coupang’s rocket delivery service.

In the meantime, food conglomerate CJ Cheiljedang Corp. also stopped selling some products through Coupang, including instant rice products, starting from the end of last month due conflicts over pricing.
