SEOUL, Nov. 3 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics has unveiled a new digital public campaign in New York’s Times Square highlighting endangered species, releasing the eighth installment of its ongoing LG Endangered Species Series, the company said Sunday.
The latest video, featuring the brown bear, aims to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on biodiversity and the urgent need to protect habitats. The short film portrays the species’ struggle for survival as its natural environment is increasingly threatened by extreme weather events.
Earlier this year, LG screened similar videos spotlighting the monarch butterfly, the West Indian manatee, and the pygmy owl, among others.
The campaign is part of LG’s global ESG initiative “Better Life for All” and its Hope Screen program, which broadcasts environmental and social awareness content on LG billboards in cities such as New York and London.
“Through this campaign, we aim to continually raise awareness of climate change and the importance of biodiversity while encouraging collective efforts to preserve the planet for future generations,” said Jung Kyu-hwang, executive vice president and head of LG’s North American operations.
